Lessons Learned in a Rock Garden
I love to garden. There is just something about digging in the dirt that allows tangled thoughts in my mind to unravel. After moving into our home, I decided I needed to get some work done in the “rock garden”.

I have always been fascinated with pottery, but more importantly I am transfixed by the work of the potter’s hand. With a little pressure here and a little pressure there, it begins to take shape from a blob of clay. I learned from my pottery classes, that the potter’s hands, although strong, need to remain steady and gentle throughout the process, much like our good Father’s hands.
Daily, I need God’s hands to guide me. It is for God’s glory and God’s glory alone, that I write. It is because of God and the work that He has done that I am even here today. It is because of His faithfulness to the continual transformation that He is doing in my heart, my mind, and my soul that I have been changed from a worthless blob full of anger, darkness, and pain to one who has been transformed into one who forgives, one who loves, and one who seeks to share with others the truth about Jesus Christ. This same freedom that I have been gifted through God’s unfathomable grace and mercy is also available to you.
It is my greatest hope that God will use the words that He gives to me to reach those who are struggling with their faith; those who are broken by life; and those who are living so far away from God that they can’t possibly imagine God wanting them.
You are the sheep that God is searching for.
You are the lost that He is seeking to find.
You matter to God.
Grace and Peace,
Stephanie
